Major Reconstruction of the Smolensk Sports Palace: The Puck is in Play!
The large-scale reconstruction of another ice arena powered by PROSTOR’s advanced technologies is nearing completion. After its renovation, the Smolensk Sports Palace “Yubileiny” is ready to host ice battles on a truly international level!
Governor Vasily Anokhin shared the good news with Smolensk residents: “The hockey rink now meets global standards. For live streaming, special broadcast points, a commentator’s booth, and dedicated spaces for technical staff have been created.”
The entire ventilation and climate control system has been fully upgraded — both for the ice field and spectator areas. Thanks to PROSTOR installations, the improvements have already been appreciated by both players and fans: the arena successfully hosted a series of international matches, including the Salei Cup and the International Tournament in memory of Alexander Stepanov.
The state-of-the-art humidity control system, featuring a built-in adsorption dehumidifier, ensures zero condensation on the rink boards and delivers a crystal-clear view for more than 1,300 spectators in the stands and watching from home.
The joint operation of PROSTOR’s specialized Komfort-Arena ventilation unit for ice arenas and the Komfort system for spectator zones allows synchronized operation and remote monitoring. At the same time, Komfort-Arena can independently provide optimal conditions during training sessions and competitions with up to 200 spectators.
We wish new victories to the strong and daring hockey team Slavutich!
