A standard option for this board is the installation of an ice barrier, which allows for quick dismantling and reassembly of the board without defrosting the playing field—an essential requirement for all venues where mass events are held.
The polycarbonate profile covering the entire height of the glazing will provide protection against impacts at the edge of the glazing. Optional curved radii made of thermoformed PET-G eliminate the possibility of injury at the points of glazing separation.
The active cushioning system significantly reduces the impact of the board on the player compared to any frame board made of metal (whether aluminum or steel), as it allows the board to deflect by at least 70 mm at a height of 1100 mm, which is almost twice the deflection of standard frame boards. The spring-based cushioning is much softer than that of a metal frame. Additionally, this allows the board to provide much better cushioning even on curved sections, as the system cushions the entire perimeter, except for the goals.
